Use of animation in school education

It is often said that a picture can paint a thousand words. When you want to explain a single word in a detailed manner then animation can be a better choice than a static image.

You can contrast the two images trying to explain low friction surfaces.

The above static image can be interpreted in a various manner. And the originally intended information can be lost. Whereas in the second image(animation) the message is somewhat conveyed to the audience that a person can fall down in a low friction surface.

Though there are drawbacks to using animation in school education. It is very difficult to find quality animations for each and every topic. There is no proper training for teachers for animations. Even software tools are very complicated and require training on part of the teacher.

Basic tools like PowerPoint animations, pivot animator, or gif maker can be used to create simple 2D animations for enhancing your presentations.
