Comics are not something that you usually see in a classroom. It is most usually associated with fun and fantasy. But, one thing about comics is it keeps the readers glued to the story. And this is one thing that you want from a teaching perspective.

Why are comics discouraged in education?

There is a misconception that comics might reduce the seriousness of the topics. But, a counter-argument would be that it makes complex theories into a simple understandable form.

Till the last few years, there were not many tools available to educators for comic content creation.

It requires some training and time on part of the educators for the creation of such content.

Benefits of comic in education

Comics no doubt increases the concentration among the reader instead of a bland piece of text. People tend to pay attention to your notes.

It gives them a feel of narration, as compared to the normal text where the reader has to put in some effort to read and understand.

Complex topics that cannot be explained through text can be stuffed into images and make the reader understand with images to support.

It is easier to remember as it is the tendency of humans to remember a piece of information in the form of images.

Tools for comics content creation

There are many tools available online. The three tools given below are some of the most popular and easy-to-use ones. These tools can be used by anyone without any training sessions.
